Longcase Suspensions cut to length

We now sell Longcase Suspensions cut to 7 standard lengths all have a hole punched in the bottom ready to receive the block from the original pendulum. This removes the difficult job of cutting and punching a hole in hardened and tempered steel strip.

If the original strip has broken off inside the brass bottom block the pin which goes through the block should be knocked out and the new suspension fitted, then the pin replaced to retain it. On many antique clocks retaining the original suspension bottom block is advantageous as it is already threaded to fit the pendulum and is the right size to fit the oblong hole inside the crutch.
